Meet the Team
Courtenay (She/They)
Operations Coordinator
Courtenay is a queer, white settler on Treaty Six Territory. As our Operations Coordinator, they support QTHC’s day-to-day operations through project coordination, cross-team communication, and executive support. They help organize QTHC’s internal systems — including the membership program and community outreach initiatives — and contribute to fundraising and strategic planning efforts.
Courtenay provides hands-on support for the Spectrum Drug Testing program and collaborates across departments to meet the evolving needs of the community. Their work is grounded in values of harm reduction, accessibility, 2S/LGBTQIA+ health, sex positivity, and kink-informed education.
Before joining QTHC, Courtenay worked as a primary care paramedic, primarily within a supervised consumption site. It was there that they discovered a deep passion for harm reduction and community care. This experience led them to shift paths and pursue a degree in Psychology and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta with the goal of reducing barriers to mental health support for marginalized communities.
Outside of work and school, Courtenay is a solar-powered human who thrives in the sunshine. She’s currently learning fire spinning and getting into acro yoga — movement and play are a big part of how they connect with themself and others. She loves being outdoors, sipping on a good coffee and getting to adventure with her dog, Piper.
You can contact Courtenay by emailing courtenay.papp@ourhealthyeg.ca.
